My name is Steve Hallowell and I’m a pretty ordinary guy in my early 60s who is living a pretty amazing life. 

I have been blessed with a great family, wonderful wife Barbara and two fine sons Matt and Ryan who are in the early stages of adulthood. 

As I move to the "next phase" of my life, I seek to develop and grow Practicing Praise into a thriving community where we together make a difference in the lives of others by focusing on doing acts of praise daily. How cool it will be when we collectively record 1,000,000 acts of praise!

I am a believer in Jesus Christ, but that isn't a requirement to be a part of our community. All are welcome here and I hope that my foundation in faith doesn't prevent you from being a part of this movement. 

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, my hope is that Practicing Praise, and the Million Acts of Praise is helpful in your spiritual journey. Jesus made it very clear in John 13:34 and in other parts of the Gospel that we are to love one another. "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (NIV) We of course can't do this without the mercy and love of God, but as we look to grow closer to God, taking action to help others, show our love and appreciation is clearly an important part of our walk.
